A country says “thanks” for COICOM
Last week, Janet Luttrell and Madeline Burgos came back from attending the COICOM conference in Honduras. COICOM, which stands for Confederación Iberoamericana de Comunicadores, Medios Masivos, Pastores y Líderes Cristianos, is an annual event where thousands of media professionals get together to help train pastors, ministry leaders, and normal everyday people in the proper use of radio, television, and other media like books, pamphlets, and newspapers. Each year, the COICOM conference is held in a different Latin American country. Tens of thousands of people have learned how to use media more effectively for the Kingdom. Janet is on the Board of COICOM.
Just as the conference ended, a major newspaper in Honduras published this cartoon:
Thank you to everyone who prayed for COICOM 2012 and for those who prayed for Janet and Madeline as they attended. COICOM at this time is in prayer for God’s leading as to the next country they will hold the conference in. The plans for next year fell through recently due to conditions in the host country. Please pray for COICOM as they consider other options.
