San Juan, PR (RR) Marie Meléndez and Natty Figueroa are on a mission to share the love of Christ in a very tangible way by bringing needy people Finokits – small kits of toiletry items, games, toys, sweets, and even a Bible. This year, they feel the Lord calling them to concentrate on the orphans in need. ”We feel as though God is calling us to work specifically on one group per year,” says Marie. ”One year it may be drug addicts, one year it may be people on the street, one year it may be people in prisons. This year we are working to help as many orphans as possible.”
The idea of FINOKITS is to show people that God truly exists today, using people to share real items that show His love. Marie and Natty are planning a special Mother’s Day distribution, so if that interests you, please get in touch today!
To contact Finokits, call (787) 462-9900 or e-mail finokits@gmail.com

This week The Rock Radio Network says a sad good-bye to The Pond and welcomes Lamplighter Theatre to Kid’s Time! The Pond ceased production in 2010, and though we were happy to air repeats for a while, many of you were beginning to comment on the fact that you were hearing the same broadcasts over and over. So after much searching, we selected Lamplighter Theatre to replace it.
Lamplighter Theatre is an exceptionally well-produced Christian radio drama that aims to bring old classics to light. Created by some of the same minds that bring you “Adventures in Odyssey,” it features the vocal talent of some of Britain’s finest actors, including John Rhys-Davies (Lord of the Rings trilogy). Lamplighter Theatre dramatizes Bible stories, old classic books, and many other stories in a family-friendly, Christ-honoring way. The production values are spectacular, so prepare to be hooked from the first episode!
